Turn on, turn off, duplicate, archive and delete in bulk
Select several campaigns, ad sets, ad groups, ads or keywords and apply the same action at once from the bulk actions bar.
In this article · 4 sections
When the same decision applies to several items (pausing every campaign from a promotion that ended, duplicating the ads that worked), select the rows in the Manage ads table and use the Bulk actions bar. It shows up at the end of the table as soon as you select the first item.
Before you start
- The account must show Can edit and your role must allow changing the account. See Manage Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns.
- A bulk action works on one level at a time: only campaigns, only ad sets, only ads, and so on.
- Bulk actions take effect on the platform right away: they don’t go through Review and publish.
Step by step
- 1Step 1
Pick the level
At the top of the table, choose Campaigns, Ad sets (or Ad groups, on Google), Ads or Keywords. If you only want the items of some campaigns, click the campaign name to filter.
- 2Step 2
Select the items
Check the box on each row, or the header box (Select all) to check every visible row. The bar shows how many items are selected.

- 2The Bulk actions bar appears at the end of the table.
- 3Clear selection unchecks everything.
- 3Step 3
Turn on or off
Click Turn on or Turn off. Items already in the requested state are skipped; if nothing needs to change, the bar says Nothing to change: the selection is already like that.
- 4Step 4
Duplicate
Duplicate creates a copy of each selected item, always paused, so you can review it before turning it on. The bar confirms, for example, 2 copies created, paused.
- 5Step 5
Archive (Meta)
Archive stops the item from delivering and removes it from the main list, but its history stays in the reports. Archived campaigns don’t show in the table. Google Ads has no archiving: there, use Turn off or Delete.
- 6Step 6
Delete, if needed
Delete asks for confirmation first. The item disappears from the platform and can’t be restored through Relator, but its spend history stays in the reports.
- 7Step 7
Read the result
When it finishes, the bar shows how many items changed. If some didn’t apply, it says how many and the reason is on each row. If the connection dropped midway, Reconnect appears.
Limits per run
The platform accepts up to 30 changes per minute. If you select more than that, Relator applies the first 30 and tells you how many were left: wait 1 minute and run it again for the rest. For deletions, the warning already shows in the confirmation.
You selected 45 ads to turn off
- What Relator does
- Turns off the first 30 and tells you 15 are left for the next run.
Some items failed
- What Relator does
- Applies the rest and shows, for example, 28 applied, 2 did not apply, with the reason on each row.
The platform asked for a pause midway
- What Relator does
- Stops the batch; whatever wasn’t applied stays as it was.
An item is already deleted or has a change in progress
- What Relator does
- Leaves that item out and says so in the confirmation.
| Situation | What Relator does |
|---|---|
| You selected 45 ads to turn off | Turns off the first 30 and tells you 15 are left for the next run. |
| Some items failed | Applies the rest and shows, for example, 28 applied, 2 did not apply, with the reason on each row. |
| The platform asked for a pause midway | Stops the batch; whatever wasn’t applied stays as it was. |
| An item is already deleted or has a change in progress | Leaves that item out and says so in the confirmation. |
What happens next
Changes take effect in the ad account as soon as the bar confirms. The table updates with the new status; spend numbers keep coming from the account sync.
Frequently asked questions
Can I mix campaigns and ads in the same selection?
No. Selection is per level: switch the level at the top of the table to select another kind of item.
Does the copy start turned on?
No. Every copy starts paused, so you can check name, budget and audience before turning it on.
Are archiving and turning off the same thing?
No. Turning off only pauses, and the item stays in the table. Archiving (Meta only) removes the item from the main list; it doesn’t deliver, but its history stays.
Why were only 30 changes applied?
That’s the platform’s per-minute limit. Wait 1 minute and run it again with the remaining items.
