Once created, a client can be adjusted at any time: name, logo, website, description, account manager, language, currency and time zone. When the agency stops serving someone, you archive the client: their access is cut, connections stop and the history is kept.

Before you start

  • Editing client details: the agency team or an Admin on the client side.
  • Choosing the Account manager and archiving: the agency team only. A client Admin cannot archive their own space.
  • You edit from inside the client. On the Clients screen, click the client’s row to enter it.

Where the client details live

There are two paths, and both save to the same place:

  • Settings in the sidebar, Client group

    What you find
General (name, website, segment, region, business type and, at the end, Archive client), Brand (detected logo and colors, “Prepared by”, footer), Connections and Alerts.
  • Client profile: Sources › Manage connections

    What you find
The Summary, General, Brand (a shortcut to Settings › Brand), Notifications, Connections, Members, Timeline and Advanced (archive) tabs, plus the Account manager field and the Edit profile button.

Step by step: edit

  1. 1
    Step 1

    Enter the client

On Clients, click the client’s row. Relator switches to that client’s space and opens the client Home.

  2. 2
    Step 2

    Open the client profile

In the sidebar, click Sources and then Manage connections at the top of the page. The profile opens on the Summary tab, with the period’s numbers; settings live in the next tabs. Click General.

  3. 3
    Step 3

Adjust name, account manager and format

On the General tab you change the Name, Website and Segment, pick the Account manager (the agency person who looks after the client) and set Language, Time zone and Currency under Region. Click Save on the bar that shows up at the bottom.

    • Account manager shows on the Clients screen and works as a filter for the book.

    3. 3Edit profile opens logo, website, description and format in a side panel.
  4. 4
    Step 4

    Complete the profile

Still on General, Edit profile opens the Edit client profile panel. It holds Logo (up to 1 MB), Name, Brand color, Website, Tax ID (read-only), About and the language, currency and timezone fields. With the website filled in, Fetch from site suggests a logo and color; click Apply and then Save changes.

  5. 5
    Step 5

    Adjust brand and business type

The Business type is on the General tab, under Business profile. The brand (logo and colors detected from the website, “Prepared by” and footer) is edited in Settings › Brand: the profile’s Brand tab takes you there with the Open Brand button. See Brand and white label.

Step by step: archive

  1. 1
    Step 1

    Open Archive client

Open Settings, choose the client in the Client group switcher and click General. The last part of the page is Archive client. From the client profile, the same action is in the Advanced tab. Click Archive followed by the client name.

What happens when you archive

  • Everyone on the client side loses portal access, and pending invites are cancelled.
  • The client’s data source connections are turned off and stop syncing.
  • Reports, dashboards, metrics and the history already collected are kept.
  • The client leaves the switcher and shows up faded at the bottom of the Clients screen, with “Archived in … · client access revoked · history kept”. The row no longer opens the client.
  • The client no longer counts toward your plan’s client limit.

Common issues

  • I don’t see Archive client or the Advanced tab. They only show for the agency team, with a client chosen.
  • “You don’t have permission to edit this profile.” Your role on the client is Editor or Viewer. Ask a client Admin or the agency.
  • The Account manager field doesn’t list someone. Only agency team members show up. Invite the person to the team first. See Invite people to the agency team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between archiving and deleting?

Archiving cuts access and turns off connections but keeps the history. There is no button to erase a client’s data in the UI. For data deletion requests, see Delete data and account.

Can I unarchive a client?

Not from the UI. If you archived by mistake, contact support.

Does an archived client still count toward my plan?

No. It no longer counts toward the active client limit.

Can a client Admin change the name and logo?

Yes. Archiving and choosing the account manager stay with the agency.
