In an agency, you don't connect Meta and Google client by client. You connect the agency Business Manager (BM) and MCC account once, and Relator discovers every ad account inside them. Then each account goes to the right client. The same applies to GA4 properties and Search Console sites.
An account belongs to one client only. If it changes hands, you move it to another client without logging in again.
Before you start
Who connects and assigns: the agency team. Invited clients only see the sources and can't change them.
In Meta, be a BM admin or have business management access granted by the admin.
In Google, have access to the MCC with the login you will use.
Create the clients first, so the accounts have somewhere to go. See Create a client.
Each account that syncs takes one source of your plan.
Connect the BM or MCC
1
Step 1
Open the agency's sources
On the agency Home, the Connect the agency BM and MCC step has the Connect agency accounts button. You can also get there from the search at the top (Ctrl+K or ⌘K) by typing Connections. The agency Data sources screen lists the accounts from every BM and MCC.

1Connect new source opens the list. In an agency, Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console connect through the organization.
2Each row is an account, with the BM or MCC it comes from.
2
Step 2
Choose Meta Ads or Google Ads and log in
Click the platform card. In Facebook, use Edit to check the BMs and accounts Relator can see. In Google, sign in with the login that accesses the MCC and accept every permission.
3
Step 3
Choose the BM or MCC
On Choose the Meta account (or Choose the Google Ads account), select the agency BM or MCC and click Continue.
4
Step 4
Check the accounts that will sync
The Choose ad accounts screen (in Google, Choose sub-accounts) lists every account. Check your clients' accounts and click Finalize.

1With many accounts, search finds them by name or number.
2Only checked accounts sync and take a source of your plan. The others stay discovered, ready to use later.
3Finalize connects the BM and takes you back to the sources screen.
Assign accounts to clients
An account only shows up in a client's reports after it is assigned to that client. There are two ways.
1
Step 1
From the agency's sources screen
In the Assigned to column, click the account selector, find the client with Search clients and choose it. For several accounts at once, check the rows and use Assign to client in the bar that appears.

1The Assigned to selector picks the account's client. Choosing another client moves the account.
2With rows checked, Assign to client sends them all to the same client at once.
3Remove from client releases the account: it stops syncing, but its history stays saved.
2
Step 2
From the client's profile
In Clients, open the client and go to the Connections tab. Click the platform card. The Assign Meta account window (or Google Ads, GA4) shows the Connected manager and the Client account list. Choose the account and click Assign.

1Accounts that already belong to another client show its name, for example "in Bravo". Choosing one moves the account.
2Assign links the account to this client and it starts syncing.
3Connect another BM (or MCC) logs in to a new manager and brings you back to this window.
Move or remove an account
Move: choose another client under Assigned to. The account then feeds only the new client.
Remove: use Remove from client and confirm in Remove the account from this client?. The account stops feeding reports and stops syncing. The history already collected stays saved.
A discovered account with no client and outside sync shows the Not syncing status. Assign it to a client to start syncing.
Common problems
"We couldn't find any Business Manager." Your Facebook login returned no BMs. Confirm at business.facebook.com that you are admin of at least one BM and reconnect, checking the BM under Edit. If you're only an analyst on the BM, ask the admin for business management access.
"No accounts discovered" in the assignment selector. There's no BM or MCC connected for that platform yet.
The account is connected but doesn't show in the client's numbers. It wasn't assigned to that client, or it was assigned to another one. Check the Assigned to column.
"We couldn't save the assignment." The account may have been disconnected. Reload the screen and try again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I connect more than one BM or MCC?
Yes. Repeat the connection for each one, or use Connect another BM (or MCC) in the client's assignment window.
Can one account feed two clients?
No. Each account belongs to one client. Choosing another client moves the account.
Do accounts I didn't check take a source of my plan?
No. Only syncing accounts take a source. The rest stay discovered, with the Not syncing status.
What about HubSpot and RD Station? Do they go through the agency too?
No. They are single-account and live in each client's space. See Connect HubSpot.
Does the client see the agency's BM?
No. The client only sees the accounts assigned to them, marked Via agency, and can't change them.
