The Goals screen doesn't just show whether the target was hit: it compares the running total with what should have happened by now and projects where you will close if the pace holds. That way you can act on the 10th instead of finding out on the 31st.

Before you start

  • You need at least one goal. See create a goal.
  • Anyone with access to the client sees the goals. Editing, duplicating, archiving and deleting is for people who can edit the client.
  • The numbers depend on the sources' latest sync. See update frequency.

What each status means

  • On track

    When it shows
The forecast stays within the target, with the alert threshold as slack.
  • At risk

    When it shows
The forecast misses the target by more than the threshold, but by no more than twice it.
  • Off pace

    When it shows
The forecast misses the target by more than twice the threshold, or the period closed without hitting the target.
  • Achieved

    When it shows
The period closed with the target met, or an “at least” goal on a volume reached the target before the end.
  • No data

    When it shows
No connected source measures the metric, or there is no reading yet in the period.

How the forecast works

For volumes (spend, conversions, leads, revenue), the forecast is the running total divided by the share of the period already elapsed. For rates (CPA, ROAS, win rate), the forecast is the current value: a rate doesn't “accumulate” until the end of the month.

Example with a 10% threshold: a goal of at least 400 leads in September (30 days). On the 15th, half the month has passed.

For at most goals (such as spend), the math is the same in the other direction: forecasting R$ 16,800.00 against a R$ 15,000.00 ceiling is 12% over, so with a 10% threshold the goal is At risk.

How to use the Goals screen

  1. 1
    Step 1

Read the summary at the top

The Goals on track and Goals at risk cards give you the score. Right below are the numbers Total, On track, At risk and Achieved.

    2. 2Each row shows the goal sentence, the forecast and the Goal actions menu.
  2. 2
    Step 2

    Start with the Decision card

The Decision card says how many goals are at risk and which one to tackle first. Next to it, Next actions lists shortcuts: See the goal at risk, Set a sales goal (when there is a CRM with no goal), review goals with no data and Archive achieved goal.

  3. 3
    Step 3

    Go through the groups

The list is grouped by pace: At risk, Attention, On track, Achieved and No data. Each row shows the sentence (“Leads ≥ 400 until the end of the month · Meta Ads”) and the forecast (“At the current pace you close at 300 (-25%)”).

  4. 4
    Step 4

    Act on the goal

    In the Goal actions menu:

    • Edit goal: reopens the wizard to change target, period or threshold.
    • Duplicate goal: creates a copy, handy to repeat the goal in another period.
    • Archive goal: removes it from the active list and keeps its history.
    • Delete goal: removes the goal and its evaluations; it can't be undone.
    • Ask the AI: opens RelatorAI with the question “Why is the goal … off pace?”.

Common problems

  • Goal shows No data → the metric has no connected source for the client, or the period hasn't started. Check Sources.
  • A CPA or ROAS goal swings a lot early in the month → with few days, the current rate moves a lot. Wait a few days or use a larger threshold.
  • The result differs from the ads manager → see differences from the platforms.

Frequently asked questions

What is the alert threshold?

It's the slack, as a percentage, between the forecast and the target. With 10%, a forecast up to 10% worse than the target still counts as On track; between 10% and 20%, At risk; above 20%, Off pace.

Does an achieved goal become active again?

No. Once Relator marks a goal as Achieved, it stays that way. For the next period, duplicate the goal.

Which time zone is the goal period counted in?

The client's time zone. CRM deals count on the day they were closed, also in the client's time zone.

Do I get notified when a goal falls off pace?

Yes. For clients with Meta Ads or Google Ads connected, goals at risk, off pace and achieved become alerts in Relator during the daily review. See the article on alerts.
