The Metrics screen gathers everything a client's connected sources measure: spend, clicks, conversions, sessions, revenue, rates such as CTR, CPC and ROAS, and the custom metrics your team created. Each metric shows up as a card with the period value, the change against the previous period and a mini chart. Use the catalog when you want to find a specific number without building a report, check a quick trend or send a metric to a dashboard.

Before you start

  • The catalog always covers one client at a time. At an agency, pick the client in the top switcher or open Clients › the client › Metrics.
  • Only metrics from connected, synced sources appear. With no active connection, the screen shows Catalog is empty with the Check connections button.
  • Anyone with access to the client can see the catalog. Creating custom metrics and adding to dashboards depends on your role (see roles and permissions).
  • The catalog is available on every plan.

Step by step

  1. 1
    Step 1

    Open the catalog

In the sidebar, click Metrics. The header shows Metrics and, right below it, the search, the date range picker and the New metric button.

    3. 3The source tabs show one platform at a time.
    4. 4Each card shows the period value, the change and the mini chart.
  2. 2
    Step 2

    Pick the source and category

The source tabs list each connected platform (for example Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4) plus All sources. Below them, category chips group metrics by type.

    • Cost, Volume, Engagement, Audience, Conversion, Revenue, Efficiency, Events: categories vary by source.
    • All shows every category of the selected source again.
    • Custom metrics appears as a source once your team has created any.
  3. 3
    Step 3

    Adjust the date range

Click the date range picker and choose a shortcut (Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, Last month...) or Custom to set a start and end. The range uses the client's time zone. Each card's change compares against the previous period of the same length.

  4. 4
    Step 4

    Read the cards

The grid shows 12 metrics at a time; scroll to the end and click Show more to see the next ones. The total found appears above the grid (e.g. “38 metrics”).

    • The period value is calculated over the whole period. Rates like CTR and CPC are not the sum of the days: they are recalculated from the period totals.
    • No data means nothing was recorded in the period. Didn't load means a temporary failure: reload the page.
  5. 5
    Step 5

Open the detail or send the metric to a dashboard

Click the card to open the metric detail page, with trend, comparisons and a table. To pin the metric on a dashboard, use the Add to dashboard button in the corner of the card.

If a source fails to load, the catalog warns you at the top (“Google Ads metrics unavailable right now”) and shows the rest as usual.

Common problems

  • Catalog is empty → none of the client's sources has finished its first sync. Check Sources and see data not showing up.
  • No metrics match the current filters → the search or the category hid everything. Click Clear filters.
  • A platform is missing from the tabs → it is not connected for this client. The tabs follow the open client's connections, not the whole agency's.
  • The number differs from the ads manager → usually time zone, attribution or a period still updating. See differences from the platforms.

Frequently asked questions

Does the catalog show metrics for all clients together?

No. The catalog always belongs to the open client. To compare clients, use the agency Home or reports.

Why isn't the period CTR the average of the daily CTRs?

Because averaging rates skews the result. Relator recalculates the rate from the period totals (clicks divided by impressions), just like the platforms do.

Can I rename a metric in the catalog?

Platform metric names are fixed. If you need your own name or calculation, create a custom metric.

Does the range I pick here change other screens?

It applies to the catalog. Each Relator screen has its own date range picker.
