The client didn't get the report on time: check the delivery status, the most common causes (pending approval, paused schedule, email in spam) and how to unblock it.
A scheduled delivery goes through stages: at the scheduled time Relator generates the draft, waits for approval (if review is on) and only then sends the email with the report link. When a client says they didn’t get it, the first step is to see at which stage the delivery stopped.
Where to see the delivery status
On the client's Home, the Recent deliveries card lists generated reports and scheduled deliveries, each with its status. The summary at the top shows how many are awaiting approval.

Possible causes, from most to least common
1. The delivery is waiting for approval
The I want to review before sending option comes checked. With it, the report is generated at the scheduled time and stays on hold until someone approves it: With review on, an unreviewed report is not sent. Home shows Report waiting for your approval. Open the delivery and click Approve and send. See Approval before sending.
2. A data issue held the delivery
Even with Send without my review, if the schedule uses Don't send until I review the issues, a failed, stale or empty source holds the delivery for you to review. It shows as Awaiting approval. Fix the source (see Connection error) and approve, or approve anyway.
3. The schedule is paused
In the editor, under Automation, a paused schedule shows This schedule is paused: nothing goes out until you resume it. Click Resume. If you try to approve a delivery from a paused schedule, you'll see This send's schedule is paused. Reactivate it to send.
4. The draft is still being generated
Right after the scheduled time, the review may show The draft is still being generated. Check back in a few minutes. If the RelatorAI narration fails, you’ll see The RelatorAI narration failed — review the text before sending.: review the text, use Edit document if needed and approve.
5. The email went out but didn't reach the inbox
If the status is Sent and the review shows the recipients as delivered, the email was accepted. Ask the client to check spam, Promotions and company filters. The subject is the client name followed by the report title (e.g. “Korra — Monthly report”) and the email carries a link to the report, not an attachment. Ask the client’s IT team to allow the sender.
6. The send failed after several attempts
When an email doesn't go out, Relator retries on its own before giving up. If every attempt fails, the review shows The send failed after several attempts. Check the schedule and the recipients. Check that the addresses are right (a single typo is enough) and send the link manually in the meantime.
7. The time is in another time zone
The schedule has its own Time zone. If it differs from yours, the delivery goes out at the right time in that zone, not yours. Check Automation › Time zone and look at Next delivery.
8. Your plan doesn't include scheduled delivery
Scheduling needs a plan that includes Scheduled reports. Without it, the Automation area asks you to upgrade. See Schedule delivery and Plans and pricing.

Frequently asked questions
The report has been Awaiting approval for days. Will it go out on its own?
No. With review on, nothing reaches the client without approval. Open the delivery and click Approve and send, or switch the schedule to Send without my review.
Does the client get the PDF as an attachment?
No. The email carries a link to the report. The PDF can be downloaded from the report.
I edited the report after it was generated. Does the client get the new version?
Edits to the document apply to the next sends. The delivery waiting for approval uses the draft already generated.
How many recipients can I have?
Up to 20 per schedule. Above that, you’ll see Use at most 20 recipients.
Who can approve the delivery?
Anyone who can edit the report. View-only users can't approve or schedule: Only report editors can schedule deliveries.
