In Dashboards you build your own screens to follow what Performance doesn’t show the way you want: a daily paid media panel, a screen for the client meeting, a tracker for one specific campaign. Each dashboard is a grid of widgets (KPI, line, bar, table, funnel, map and more) that you drag and resize.
Before you start
Dashboards belong to a client (or to your account). Enter the client before creating one. In the agency view, Dashboards gathers the agency’s dashboards and the Client templates.
To create and edit, you need to be able to edit the client: agency team, or the client’s admins and editors. A client invited to the portal doesn’t see Dashboards.
Using templates is open on all plans. Creating a Blank dashboard requires a plan with custom dashboards: Pro, Scale or Enterprise. During the free trial the feature is also available. See Plans and pricing.
Widgets use the client’s connected sources. To add widgets manually, connect Meta Ads, Google Ads or GA4.
Step by step
1
Step 1
Open Dashboards
In the sidebar, click Dashboards. The page has the All, Mine and Templates tabs, a search box and the Create with AI and New dashboard buttons. The pinned dashboard (or the first one in the list) is highlighted in Your most used, with Open and Edit.

2New dashboard creates a blank dashboard and opens the editor.
3Each dashboard’s ⋯ menu has pin, duplicate, rename, share and delete.

Step 2
Choose the starting point
You have three paths:
From a template: on the Templates tab, use Use template on an agency model or Apply template on one of the Relator templates (Meta, Google Ads and GA4 models). The dashboard is created already bound to the client’s connections and opens in the editor.
Blank: click New dashboard. The dashboard is created empty and opens in the editor. If your plan doesn’t include custom dashboards, the click opens the plan options.
Create with AI: click Create with AI and describe the dashboard you want in the chat. RelatorAI builds a widget draft from the client’s connected sources. Each widget arrives as New and you decide: Accept, Reject or Refine (ask for a change to that widget only). When you click Save dashboard, only accepted widgets go in; if some are still pending, Relator asks whether to accept them or save only the accepted ones. With no source connected to the client, the screen asks you to connect one first.
3
Step 3
Add widgets
In the editor, click Add widget. Pick the chart type, the Widget source and the Metric (you can search by name), adjust it in Configure and click Add.

3Metric: search by name.

Step 4
Arrange the grid
In edit mode, drag a widget by its header to move it and pull the corner or edges to resize. With the keyboard, with the header focused, the arrow keys move and Shift + arrows resize. Every change saves on its own (saving... / saved), and Undo and Redo sit at the top.
5
Step 5
Adjust each widget
In the widget’s ⋯ menu, use Edit to open the inspector: Type, Title, Metric, Dimension, Granularity (day, week, month), Limit, Format, Good when (↑ Goes up or ↓ Goes down) and Filters, with a Live preview. Click Apply. The same menu has Duplicate and Remove.
6
Step 6
Finish and use the dashboard
Click Done. In view mode, pick the period (it applies to all widgets), turn on auto-refresh (Every 1 min, 5 min or 15 min) or click Refresh now. Generate report turns the dashboard into a report. To edit again, use Edit layout.
Widget types
There are 28 types: KPI, Blended KPI, Bullet indicator, Text, Line, Bar, Table, Donut, Bar list, Stacked bar, Gauge, KPI ring, KPI gauge, Funnel, Waterfall, Candle, Heatmap, Scatter, Treemap, Pareto, Radar, Word cloud, Sankey, Calendar, Map, Stream, Box plot and Bump (ranking). Some types show under Need manual data because they don’t read directly from a source.
Pin, duplicate, rename and delete
Pin to sidebar: the dashboard shows under Pinned in the sidebar, just for you.
Duplicate: creates a copy with "(copy)" in the name.
Rename: changes the name.
Share: copies the dashboard link. The recipient needs access to the client.
Delete: the dashboard goes to the trash. To restore it, contact support within 30 days.
Common problems
"Connection unavailable" on a widget: the widget’s source was disconnected or the client doesn’t have it. The widget shows Connect account.
"newer changes were saved in another session": someone edited the same dashboard. Click Reload before going on.
"New dashboard" opens the plan options (or the Blank card shows the upgrade tag): the plan doesn’t include custom dashboards. Use a template or see Change plan.
On mobile: the grid becomes one column and doesn’t drag. Use ⋯ › Move up or Move down.
Frequently asked questions
Does the client see the dashboards I create?
Not through the portal: an invited client doesn’t access Dashboards. To show it to the client, generate a report from the dashboard with Generate report.
Can RelatorAI build dashboards?
Yes. In Dashboards, click Create with AI and describe what you want to see. RelatorAI proposes the widgets, and nothing goes into the dashboard until you accept it. See also What RelatorAI does.
Whose currency do widgets use?
The currency, language and time zone of the client that owns the dashboard.
Does pinning a dashboard pin it for the whole team?
No. Pins are personal; each person chooses their own.
