Plan limits and usage
What counts as a workspace, source, seat and AI message, how to read the Usage this cycle area and what happens when a limit is reached.

Each plan has quantity limits (workspaces, sources, seats, AI messages) and service limits (refresh frequency, history). Here is what each one counts, with examples, and what happens when you hit the ceiling.
Where to track usage
- Clients5 of 5 · 100% used
- Connected sources21 of 25 · 84% used
- Team seats3 of 5
- RelatorAI messages142 of 300
- Clients5 of 5Extra client · R$ 29/mo
- 1Each line shows usage and the limit. From 80% the bar turns amber and shows the percentage used; at 100%, it turns red.
- 2When your plan sells the add-on for that limit, it appears on the right of the line.
Agencies and business accounts with a team see four lines: Clients, Connected sources, Team seats and RelatorAI messages. A personal account with no team sees Connected sources and RelatorAI messages. The limits already include the add-ons you bought.
Workspaces (clients or locations)
In an agency, each client takes one workspace; the agency's own workspace doesn't count, and an archived client stops counting. In a business, each location, store or brand is a workspace. Example: Pro with 5 active clients and 2 archived is at 5 of 5.
Connected sources
A source is an account Relator syncs. The limit is 5 sources per workspace (plan and extras), pooled across the account: on Pro, 5 workspaces give 25 sources, which you spread however you like. How they are counted:
- A connection made inside a workspace: each active connection counts 1. A Meta ad account, a Google Ads account, a GA4 property, a Search Console site, a HubSpot, an RD Station.
- An agency connection through the Meta BM or the Google Ads MCC: each account included in the sync counts 1. The BM or MCC itself doesn't count. An MCC with 30 accounts, of which you include 12, takes 12.
- A disconnected connection stops counting right away.
Example: an agency with 4 clients, each with Meta Ads, Google Ads and GA4, uses 12 sources.
Team seats
Team members with the Owner, Admin or Member role count, and so do pending team invites. Clients invited to the portal don't count: the number of clients in the portal is unlimited. See Invite members.
RelatorAI messages
Each message anyone on the account sends to RelatorAI counts 1. The limit is for the whole account, not per person, and the counter resets on the 1st of each month. When the monthly quota runs out, RelatorAI uses the balance of the 200-message packs you bought. Details in AI credits.
Refresh frequency
This is how often Relator fetches each source again: daily on Starter, every 6 hours on Pro, hourly on Scale (or on Starter and Pro with the add-on) and from 15 minutes on Enterprise. When you change plans, the frequency changes too. See Refresh frequency.
History
This is how many months of data the plan keeps available for queries and comparisons: 12 on Starter, 24 on Pro and 36 on Scale. When you connect a source, Relator brings in the last 90 days on any plan (the full history on HubSpot), and history grows from there. See Imported history.
What happens when you hit a limit
Nothing is charged without you asking and nothing is switched off. Relator only blocks the next addition: one more workspace, one more connected account, one more invite or one more message to RelatorAI. At that point a notice shows the limit and your options:
- Buy an add-on, if your plan has one (see Add-ons).
- Move to a bigger plan (Change plans).
- Free up room: archive a client, disconnect a source or remove a pending invite.
- AI messages also come back on the 1st of the next month.
Frequently asked questions
Does connecting the same account in two clients count twice?
Yes. Each active connection inside a workspace takes one source.
Are the 5 sources tied to each workspace?
No. The limit is pooled across the account: one client can use 8 sources and another 2, as long as the total fits the plan limit.
Does a BM connected at agency level take sources even if I don't include accounts?
No. Only the BM or MCC accounts included in the sync count.
Do AI messages from different members add up?
Yes. The limit is the account's (agency or business) and adds up everyone's messages in the month.
Does a pending invite take a seat?
Yes, team invites hold a seat until they are accepted or canceled. Client invites to the portal don't.
Is there automatic overage billing?
No. Relator blocks the new addition and you decide what to do.
