Creating an account takes a few minutes. You enter your name, email and password (or sign in with Google), confirm your email with a code and choose the account type. The type is the most important decision in signup: it defines whether each client gets its own space or everything lives in a single one.

Before you start

  • Use a work email you can open right now: the confirmation code goes there.
  • If someone already invited you to an agency or a client, do not create a new account from the website. Use the invitation link, as explained below.
  • Know whether you will serve clients or just your own business. That's what decides the account type.

Step by step

  1. 1
    Step 1

    Open signup

On the website, click to create an account. The Create your account screen notes that every plan includes a free trial, no card required.

    • Name: how your team will see you.
    • Work email: your sign-in email.
    • Password: at least 8 characters.
    • Or click Continue with Google to use your Google account, with no password.
  2. 2
    Step 2

    Confirm your email

After you click Create account, the Confirm your email screen asks for the 6-digit code sent to your email. Paste the code and click Confirm. If you signed in with Google, you skip this step.

  3. 3
    Step 3

    Answer "Who are you?"

This is the first step of the setup wizard. The cards come in two groups:

    • I serve clients (1 workspace per client): Agency or Freelancer.
    • Just my business (a single workspace): Company or Solo entrepreneur.
  4. 4
    Step 4

    Follow the wizard

Clicking a card takes you straight to the next step. From here, the wizard changes depending on the type. Continue in Initial agency setup or Initial company setup.

If you received an invitation

People invited by an agency or a client do not go through the wizard. Open the link in the invitation email and create your password (or sign in with Google). On your first visit, the Welcome to… window asks for your first name, last name and a photo so your team can recognize you; you can click Skip for now.

If you belong to more than one organization, the You belong to more than one organization screen asks which one to open now. You can switch later.

Common problems

  • "Invalid code." The code expired or was mistyped. Request a new one and use the latest.
  • The invitation link says it expired or was already used. Ask the person who invited you to resend it.
  • I landed on a waitlist instead of signup. Signup may be temporarily closed. If you have an invitation, use its link, which goes straight through.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a card to create an account?

No. Signup and the trial do not ask for a card. See Trial period.

Can I use my Google login?

Yes. Click Continue with Google on the signup screen. In that case there is no password and no confirmation code.

I'm a freelancer but I serve only one client. Which type should I pick?

If you provide services to another company, choose Freelancer: the client gets its own space and can get portal access. If Relator is for your own business, choose Solo entrepreneur.

I forgot my password. What now?

On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password, enter your email and follow the recovery code. More in Account security.
